How it performs and what ownership is like
Cleaning performance
Dual pumps and dual brushes support floor, wall and waterline modes, with a published maximum flow of 8,000 GPH. PCWorld found the cleaning capable after a firmware update but slower than expected, so this is better for planned maintenance than a hurried pre-party cleanup.
Navigation and coverage
PoolSense maps the pool and stores up to three maps, while LiFi enables underwater remote steering. The app is a real strength, though dark, highly reflective or transparent finishes can reduce mapping accuracy according to Dreame's own compatibility notes.
Filtration and debris
The 180-micron filter is appropriate for visible dirt and everyday debris. It is not an ultra-fine silt filter, and the published material does not support treating it as a substitute for the main pool-filtration system.
Handling and ownership
Magnetic charging avoids opening a wet connector and the robot is designed to surface for retrieval. A full charge takes four to six hours. Dreame explicitly tells owners to remove the robot after use, empty it and store it dry rather than leaving it submerged indefinitely.
