Cleaning performance
The F1 is a surface-only specialist for leaves, insects and other floating material. EdgeMaster, anti-backflow and anti-stuck features help it work around the perimeter, and independent testing supports strong leaf collection. It neither vacuums the floor nor corrects water chemistry.
Navigation and coverage
Obstacle avoidance and edge-focused cleaning are more important here than full pool mapping. App-based manual steering can recover missed corners, but PCWorld found the overall power management less refined than the hardware concept suggests.
Filtration and debris
A 7-liter basket gives the F1 exceptional capacity for a skimmer in this price class. The design targets floating macro debris; it should not be marketed as an ultra-fine water-polishing filter or as a replacement for the pool skimmer and circulation system.
Handling and ownership
A 33-watt solar panel supports day-to-day operation. Standard mode runs continuously for up to eight hours, while Smart mode alternates ten-minute active and pause intervals across a 24-hour period. A DC charger is optional and not included, which matters during cloudy stretches.
